Being awarded MVP three times and receiving the honor of being placed in the top ten players in the All-Southwestern League is the highlight of my career thus far. It is such an honor to be named MVP and one of the top ten players in the league. However, I feel I grew the most this past season. My coach approached me with the task of becoming a three point shooter so I could play the small forward position. Before then I was primarily a post. I was able to put in the work to reach the request of my coach. That experience helped me grow as a player because it lead me to having to focus my own efforts on becoming a solid shooter from the outside. I think that this experience taught me that I can adjust to what a coach is asking of me.
Throughout my three years, I have learned the value of teamwork, commitment on and off the court, sacrifice, and leadership. I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me both athletically as well as academically. I believe I have not only the talent to play for a college team, but also the character, work-ethic, commitment, and leadership skills to make an impact in your program. As a basketball focused athlete and three year MVP and team captain, I know that I have what it takes to be a leader on your team!
