"Ball is life," is one of my favorite personal quotes as it pertains to my life to a T. I can't seem to go a week without playing or at least training to improve my skills. I started playing in 4th grade thinking it was just for fun and I wouldn't be any good at it since I was one of the heavier kids at the time. Time passed and I started playing AAU basketball with different clubs trying to find my right fit. During junior high, I started taking it more serious and became more diligent about my training with my dad's help. My hard work started to pay off as I was selected to start on my high school varsity team as a Freshman. Entering Terra Nova High School, nobody really knew me, but as basketball season approached things started to look up. I was second highest scorer of my team for the season. With all of my time dedicated to basketball, I manage to keep up with my academics with a 3.6 GPA which I believe is the most essential part of being a student-athlete.
I dream about playing in a Division 1 college basketball team because I would like to experience what it is like to play with and against the top levels. I am a very hard worker both on and off the court. At this point in my basketball career, I have seen the top levels of play in NCAA viewing tournaments and camps. I know what to expect and keep a calm head during tough situations. At the same time, I would like my basketball career to help me in getting to the profession that I desire, which is Marketing Management.
