My name is Veronica Mikhail, I go to Pencader Charter Business and Finance High School. I am currently a freshman moving into my sophomore year. I have been enrolled with the NCSA for about a year now. One of my dreams is to attend college on a basketball scholarship and the NCSA has been helping me achieve this goal. In the 2011/2012 school year, I have been involved in three varsity sports at my high school. These sports are volleyball, basketball, and soccer. I have been playing sports for about five years. I started playing in the 5th grade when basketball became my passion and hobby in the on/off season. I thrive to be the best that I can be by practicing basketball with friends and family and by playing other sports so I may develop as an athlete. Like any other athlete, I have a role model, who is also an athlete, that inspired me to start getting involved in this sport.
I have had experience before in being a captian and co-captian. About two or three years ago, I played on a volleyball team in middle school and was the captian for one season on the junior varsity team. From 6th grade to my current year, I have been playing on varsity teams. I play sports year round to improve my skills as a basketball player. Since I was a child, one of my goals has been to get drafted into the WNBA. God willing, I can still achieve this goal if I continue to work hard.
I am a fairly short athlete, but am capable of doing many things. I plan to achieve every goal and dream that I have planned.
