Amalya Sales '21 Recruiting Profile

Hello,

My name is Amalya Sales and like majority of aspiring basketball players my goals are to be able to play at the highest level that I'm capable of playing along with obtaining a college degree. I believe in family which has been the backbone of my determination to stay motivated to this point. My father who is confined to a wheelchair since the age of 19 has been such an inspiration to me as a dad and as a coach. His determination to face challenges head on instead of finding excuses why he can't make it is a great example that there is nothing you cannot overcome. I've learned through his ups and downs that anything is possible but it starts with having that mindset of putting in the work and believing in myself that I can do it. Because of him being an example, I strive to prepare today for what tomorrow has to offer.
