Allison Gogola '26 Recruiting Profile

I started basketball in 3rd grade because I was very athletic. I joined as a shy kid just trying to learn the game. My confidence has significantly grown throughout the years. Basketball has given me the opportunity to develop leadership skills and to empower my teammates.

Another thing that has helped me grow is Girl Scouts. I have been a Girl Scout for almost 10 years now. Girl Scouts has helped me try new things and lead others. It has also made me more determined on a set goal then I’ve ever been. Last year I received my silver award (highest award at the Cadette level) and sold over 5,000 boxes of Girl Scout cookies while standing in the cold for hours at a time. Girl Scouts also gave me the courage as an 8th grader to ask my high school feeder coach if I could assist in coaching the 5/6th graders. I was able to run stations at practice as well as draw up plays during games. I have learned a lot being a coach and gained a ton of respect for what they do. These two opportunities have helped me work harder and push myself more to improve as well as being seen as someone my team can rely on.
