I have been playing travel basketball since the 4th grade, in the 5th grade I moved to a new town and school which meant a new AAU team. This helped me grow as an individual and basketball player. My new house had a park in the backyard and from there I took it upon myself to perfect my craft that I loved so much and that was basketball. I have learned that if I want something in life I have to go for it and I had to be a self starter and push myself, no one was going to do it for me. I started Varsity as a Freshman, Sophomore and Juniorbat my High School, I was chosen to be a captain of my basketball team my Sophomore and Junior years. I am a member of National Honor Society. I received honorable mention in All City, All County, All League and All Class 5A in Kansas, I received Second Team honors for Topeka Capital Journal All County Team , all as a Freshman. As a Sophomore I was Meadowlark League Player of the Year, First team all league, first team all county, rising star of the year nominee, nominee for Kansas 5A player of the year, nominee for Kansas 5A defensive player of the year. My junior year I played in the Centennial League. I received Second Team All Centennial League, First Team All Shawnee County and Honorable Mention in 3A from KSHSAA and Sports in Kansas. I was top 5 in Kansas girls 3A state tournament in scoring. I want to major in Early Childhood Special Education or Diagnostic Imaging. I am very passionate about special education because I have a sister with Down Syndrome. She is very important to me and I want her to have the most exceptional life possible. My sister is only two years old and I know that as her older sister she is always going to need me and that makes me want to succeed even more. Thank you for reading my profile.
