Avary White '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Avary White, I’m a junior in high school and honestly I just love basketball. That sounds like any other player that wants to play basketball, but I feel as though I am different. For me it was always basketball and volleyball, always a different favorite during season, but honestly basketball has been my number 1. I’ve played my whole life and I started playing varsity the first year I could in 7th grade. I love the game not because it’s a fun sport but because it brings me closer to people I wouldn’t know outside of the sport. It’s such a high intensity game that it never fails to give me that rush to play. I’m a team player, and I can see the court better than anyone on my teams. I just have that understanding of where the ball needs to go and who I need to get it to. As I’ve learned more about myself in the last couple years, I’ve noticed huge improvements, not only with confidence but with my shot and with my overall ability of playing. I’m a pretty smart kid, I have a 4.5 GPA. I am dedicated to my schoolwork and I am hoping that the college I go to has the right skills and help to push me to where I want to be academically and athletically. I aspire to play on a team that lets me play. I want to be on a team that will push me but make my life better. I aspire to become something within the major of nutrition, especially sports nutrition with a possible minor in food science. I am looking for a college that allows me to flourish in both aspects of life on and off the court.
