Faith Wolverton '19 Recruiting Profile

I have been starting point guard on varsity for the past four years. I am a strong leader and always encourage my teammates. My goal is to build up my teammates and help them with anything they need. I have helped lead my team to the playoffs the past four years. I have trained during the off season with a former college coach every summer for the past three years. I am very driven and work very hard at everything I pursue.  Last year, I reached one thousand points in my high school career just half way through my season. I was nominated for the VYPE Private School Preseason Girls Basketball Player of the year. The past three years I have received TAPPS first team All- District and TAPPS second team All- State. Last year, I received the TAPPS academic All-State. This year I am receiving TAPPS first team All-District, TAPPS first team All-State, and District MVP.  I have a cumulative GPA of 4.04 and I am in National Honor Society at my school. I am also the secretary of National Honor Society. I have made honor roll every year. I have won the Outstanding Student award at my school for my grade level for the past three years for my Christian character and grades. I play to glorify God, not to glorify myself. I volunteer at my church by working in the preschool every other Sunday. I am also intern for a women's minor league basketball team called the Houston Galaxy.  I helped coach an elementary basketball girls camp this summer. I lead a Bible study for junior high girls with two other high school girls at my church. I love basketball and I cannot wait for the opportunities God has ahead.
