Trinity Delacruz '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Trinity Delacruz. I’m  a senior at Rosary Academy. I’ve been playing golf since 4th grade, and I’ve been on the varsity golf team for Rosary Academy since 9th grade.  I was rookie of the year my freshman year, and MVP both sophomore and junior year, and the varsity team captain my senior year.

I know that I am not the best of the best in golf. However, I strongly believe in my ability to improve. From my understanding, college coaches look for players who are driven to succeed. I can guarantee that I am that person.  Additionally, I don’t let a bad score get to me. I know that there will be good games and bad games, but ultimately, sticking through until the end is what really determines  a good athlete. I welcome any criticism or tips that will help me improve my game! I’ve learned that nothing is impossible, and growth is always achievable. 

Aside from golf, academics are very important to me.  I am named as a PSAT/NMSQT Commended student. I received the scholar athlete achievement award on my freshman, sophomore , and junior year at school for playing golf while maintaining a 4.5 weighted / 4.0 Non-weighted GPA. That GPA was not easy to maintain, especially during golf season. However, challenges and hardships have never stopped me from working as hard as I can to achieve my goal. I can assure you that I will continue to put this same work ethic into my academics and sports when I get to college and play for your team.

I am a committed golfer with a passion to continue to improve my game. I want to excel in playing golf in a college team environment and be academically successful in pursuing my degree. I hope you will consider me to play for your team!
