Personal Statement
Golf has been an interest of mine for many years, my Dad introduced me to the game at a young age. My love of the game was sparked by traveling and playing courses throughout the country on family vacations along with Dad/Daughter golf trips over the years. I will always cherish the memories of those experiences and look forward to gaining more experience with my Dad, through high school tournaments, Colorado Junior Golf tournaments and eventually my ultimate goal of a competitive college golf team.
During my freshman year of high school, I realized that I had some natural talent and I made the commitment to pursue golf at the competitive level. I earned one of four spots on my high school team for the Colorado CHSAA 5A state tournament during both my freshman and sophomore years. My team was quite successful that first year, taking second place. My game improved significantly the next year after a full time commitment with a golf coach making the sacrifice to practice year round while managing a challenging academic schedule and volunteering over 100 hours to lead a team and fundraise money for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
I am extremely motivated to continue to improve and play consistently, win the state title and other junior titles, over the next two years and ultimately play as part of a winning college golf program. I am a level headed, determined, curious, and exceptionally driven individual that will be an excellent asset to a college golf program with my dedication to the sport and my academic and community endeavors.
