Ever since age 5, Sundays have been a sacred day for my family to go and play golf together. Just three years ago my father suffered a stroke on a golf course and our family tradition ended abruptly. I, however, did not let this event hold me back and instead, this event guided me to my future, becoming a neurosurgeon. I am passionate about two things in life and those are academics and golf. I joined the golf team at Clearwater Central Catholic High School and I immediately became number one on the team. When I am on the course I see myself as a competitor and a friend to my fellow teammates. I have also been playing tournaments out of the school. When I am not on the course, I am in school facing the most rigorous academic courses that International Baccalaureate has to offer. I have placed all of my concentration on my academics just like I do when I am playing a tournament because through hard work and a supportive family, success is a door away.
