I started playing golf in 7th grade. Ever since I picked up a club I was hooked. In seventh grade after just picking up a club for the first time months earlier. I was proud of myself for making State. My goal at that point was to make it back to state in eighth grade. Although now looking back. I’m not proud of the scores that I shot at the time. My goal was to get better and I did shoot a better score than I did in seventh grade. My freshman year I played varsity golf and basketball. My golf team got 2nd in our regional. We went to sectionals and fell short of state. Although we fell short of state. I won the low score award for our team. My goal after getting this award was to win it again. To do that I would have to get better and shoot way lower, So I started to practicing everyday. Until basketball came around. In the third game of the basketball season I completely ruptured my ACL and tore a bit of my meniscus. My confidence was at an all-time low. Specially after my surgery. I lost a lot of my muscles in my leg. All I could think about a that point is if I would be able to play golf sophomore year. I went to PT 2 days a week and work out on my own. 8 months later I built back my leg muscles and I was completely back to playing and practicing golf everyday, So back to the grind. The grind I love.
