I've been playing team sports since I was five years old. I enjoy working with others to accomplish goals and work together as a team. There was a big defining moment that made me the three-sport athlete that I am today. My first big moment was creating a new path for woman's golf in Flat Rock Community Schools. My freshman year in high school, I was disappointed to discover there was not a girls golf program. I stepped out of my comfort zone and secured a spot for myself on the Boy's Varsity team. At first, it was a huge challenge, as I was expected to compete from the men's tees. However, through hard work and perseverance, I earned a spot to compete for tournament play as a varsity boy's golfer. The following year, the school administration approached me with the opportunity to create a women's club golf team. I had realized I had made a positive impact in the community and change for women's golf.
I am a motivated student who is not afraid to step out of my comfort zone and face new challenges. My education is very important to me, and I am able to maintain a balance between competing in varsity sports and advanced placement courses. I'm looking forward to continuing my competitive golf and educational journey in college!
