Julia Williams '23 Recruiting Profile

I would be honored to play hockey at the collegiate level.  As the team captain, leadership and hard work has led up to this moment and with the right fit in a collegiate hockey program along with a strong academic curriculum in the field of communications and journalism I know I will be successful for your team and university.    

The most dynamic hockey skills that I excel in are explosive speed, penalty kills, shorthanded goals, and rebounds.  Examples of this are demonstrated in my video. Playing as a 3-sport varsity student athlete has taught me how to manage a rigorous academic and athletic schedule throughout my high school years.  In March of 2022, I ran a very successful campaign for a class officer position and became Chelmsford High Schools Class Secretary for the 2022-2023 school year. I am heavily involved in school and community activities such as class representatives and local town TeleMedia. Since Freshman year, my favorite volunteering position is coaching young children every week in a Learn to Play Hockey program through the Chelmsford Hockey Association. 

My most recent accomplishment was awarded to me December 2022 as Chelmsford High School's Student of the Month. This accomplishment along with Class Officer duties, Team Captain, Speech and Debate competitions, Mock Trial Competitions, community volunteering, and being a supportive teammate on 3 varsity teams helped develop my strong leadership skills.
