Personal Statement
I love hockey! When I step on the ice my heart races, the adrenaline flows, my mind races imagining every possible scenario. The puck drops and the game is on!
I first stepped on the ice at age 3 and started hockey at 5. My first varsity shift was in 8th grade. Beginning in 9th grade I have been a starter. My belief is that no matter how much God given talent a player has without knowing how to work hard, talent won’t be enough. I carry this belief throughout my other sports and academics. I play varsity softball and play on two summer softball teams. I am in the gym weight training several days a week, and I am on the ice every chance I get.
I also believe in passing my passion for hockey to younger girls. For the past two years I have helped coach the 10U and 12U hockey teams. I love teaching these young girls and i have learned a lot myself.
My goal for the future is to continue my varsity hockey and then move on to play college hockey. I can achieve this dream through continued hard work on and off the ice. I am undecided as of yet on a career but I know I will continue to be involved in hockey in some way!
