Personal Statement

My strong work ethic started as a young girl cleaning cabins at my grandmother's resort and planting flowers at a local nursery. As the years went on, my strong work ethic mirrored my passion in sports & in the classroom by achieving the "Most Improved Player" award in volleyball & hockey, scoring our winning goal at state with the bantams, making high honors throughout my freshman & middle school years in academics, and helping people throughout the community. I feel I would make an exceptional candidate for any college hockey team that is looking for an outstanding athlete and individual that will bring a strong sense of motivation, compassion, and confidence to the team.

I am known for being "Quiet but Fierce!"  As quoted by a former teacher (Mrs. Ellyn Schneider), "You work hard in everything that you do. You have skills to go far. You lead by example.  You aren't bossy, you aren't overly outspoken, but yet you have this way about you that attracts others to you. You lead by example...."

  • This is a very exciting time in the evolution of girls hockey; more colleges are adding women's hockey programs each year as the sport grows. The Minnesota AAA Female Elite Prospects tournament is a showcase of the talent and skill that the older levels of girls hockey has to offer for those players serious about becoming college student-athletes. Our tournament has showcase teams and players from the United States and Canada, competing in one of top female tournaments in the midwest. The setting of the twin ports of Duluth MN/Superior WI at the head of the Great Lakes is a unique destination that your team's players and families will enjoy on and off the ice. If your team is not participating, we will also be forming teams based on individual registrations, please contact tournament director for player registration information. Coaches from over a dozen NCAA sponsored women's hockey programs attend each year, along with more and more ACHA Division 1 and 2 programs as that level of women's college hockey grows as well. Players are encouraged to check out the "Attending Colleges" page to see what schools will be in attendance, learn more about the schools and reach out to the coaches prior to the tournament. Teams will also be given recruiting forms to provide info about their players that will be passed along to all college programs that attend the tournament. The Minnesota Female Elite Prospects AAA Tournament is not a run of the mill tournament. We are passionate about girls hockey and take pride in providing a top notch showcase and promoting female hockey to provide an opportunity for student-athletes to play hockey at the next level.
