I began playing sports seriously in 6th grade when I discovered rugby while living in Singapore. I played for my school Singapore American School (SAS) and two club teams: Centaurs Rugby and Tanglin Trust Rugby. After repatriating back to the US and rugby not being easily available, I discovered lacrosse. Brittany Borgeson, my high school head school, was inspirational in my learning to love the game. I very much want to play in college and later coach after graduating while pursuing my career. I am hoping to help with IGLA, Illinois Girls Lacrosse Association. I think playing in college will help me learn about leadership, responsibility, strategy and team mechanics. Only being a freshman, I am thinking I would like to teach or lead in some manner. I've preliminarily chosen History and/or Military Studies as my major. I would like to earn a PHD and make it to the officer level in the military, here too helping me learn deciplined, respect, understanding and leadership. My parents are wonderful role models. Both are focused, work hard and give back to their social groups and/or outside communities.
