Personal Statement

I consider myself to be an all-around player with a high lacrosse I .Q.  Even though I am an experienced midfielder it is not unusual to find me on defense and attack as well for my high school team; I play where I am needed. I am equally strong with both hands and make it a point to do all drills with my non-dominant hand.  I work hard for ground balls, am a reliable passer and feel my stick skills are strong.  Defensively I am an aggressive on ball defender. My 1v1 stop and fast break are top notch. I anticipate slides really well and have great angles in the 8.  Mentally, I stay focused and do not lose control when under pressure. I do not dwell on losses and consider them a learning experience as I am already looking forward to the next game and thinking about what I can improve upon.

Lacrosse has taught me some valuable lessons. I have learned the meaning of responsibility, accountability, dedication and commitment. Lacrosse has provided me with a strong work ethic which motivates me to do well academically. I've learned to overcome adversity and persevere. Most importantly I am part of a team and I consider myself to be a very reliable, dedicated and trustworthy teammate.

As I begin my search for colleges I am looking for a school that will provide me with the opportunity to thrive, contribute and grow in all facets of collegiate life. It is important for me to have a coach that is committed to their team, will be a mentor and will continually challenge me and my teammates to become better student athletes.

Lacrosse is not my life; it is just one important aspect of it. I also play soccer, love art, fashion, music, the theater and spending time with my friends and family. For the last four years I have volunteered with my town’s recreation lacrosse program as well as their fiddlestix program. It is important for me to give back to the sport that has been so good to me.

Thank you for taking the time to review my profile. I look forward to hearing from you!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
