I have been playing soccer since the age of 5 and have been in love with the sport ever since. I grew up playing and watching soccer with my family who are from and support Barcelona. Watching them growing up gave me a better understanding of the tactical side of the game which I know has truly inspired my type of play.
Throughout the years I have played for many clubs including my local team, the Waldwick Warriors, Stateline SC in New York, and now Parsippany Academy (https://go.traceup.com/traceid/athlete/KZWkko@UN/). I have been the captain of each of these teams. Moving into high school, my freshman year, I played for the freshman team, the JV team, and the Varsity team. With an injury at the very start of the season, quite literally on the first game day, I came back mid-October for a hat-trick and assist from CAM. As the season came to a close for Freshman and JV not only did I contribute many goals for the team but I also helped my fellow teammates and coaches to better develop their play and tactics. I have developed traits such as leadership, finishing, and overall game IQ. Going into states, I was called up to the Varsity team in which we ended up going all the way and winning the New Jersey Group 1 State 1 Title. In 2022 as a Sophomore, I became a starting member of the Varsity team where we once again made it to the New Jersey Group 1 State 1 title game losing 2-1. In 2023, as a Junior, we were our league champions going undefeated and made it to the State Sectional championship game. Junior year's season was a rough one as I broke my wrist mid season but after little to no down time I was able to play and finish out the season. I was also named one of Bergen County NJ's Soccer's "Unsung Heroes" for the year.
Playing as a center-mid my whole life, I have experienced playing against all types of teams, players, and competitions. For my Academy team I have captained throughout many tournaments in places like Tampa for the SuperYLeague Finals, Massachusetts for the FC Stars Showcase, Virginia, Arizona, Pennsylvania and throughout NJ in other showcases. Throughout my tenure as a player, I have developed many flexible traits, not only in my position but as someone who wants to learn and lead. My high school coach nicknamed me Mr. Versatile as I not only played center-mid but played forward positions as well as defense positions when needed.
My goals for the future include winning another State Championship, becoming the captain of my Highschool team, and going on to play in college. If I continue to maintain my high grades of a 4.57 weighted GPA, I hope my goals for the future would not only work out for sports but position me academically as well.
