Logan Wejnert – Personal Basketball Statement
“Ball is Life,” is a basketball motto espoused by many, but to me this is more than a lifestyle motto. This slogan was engrained in me from birth. Coming from a family of collegiate players and winning coaches, I have been a gym rat from the get go. I have played rec basketball, AAU basketball and HS Varsity Basketball starting from my freshman year. Each summer, I have attended Coach Bob Hurley’s Hoop Group summer camps, university camps and college showcases. For the past five years, I have had year round private and small group instruction with the elite basketball trainers, DJ Sackmann and Jemal Mosley. I am more than dedicated to my sport. I am that student athlete that is always in the gym working to improve and perfect his skills. I am that student athlete that leads on and off the court always working to set the example of quality performance, team play and good sportsmanship. This past summer, my grandfather a collegiate player and NJSIAA HS Hall of Fame Coach suddenly passed away and I am dedicated to working even harder to achieve my goal of carrying on the family legacy because “Ball is our life!”
