I started playing lacrosse when I was 15 years old and I am now playing for an Elite team, Lake Murray Rapids. “The grind don’t stop”, as some would say, and It hasn’t for me since my sophomore year. I have fallen in love with lacrosse which has taught me that anything is possible with the right mindset and with persistence. Considering this, I intend to continue my lacrosse career while in college.
I have a mindset of playing as a team, and not as an individual. I’m always there to encourage my teammates and bring positive energy, both on and off the field. My endurance, coordination, speed and shiftiness are all things that make me a valuable lacrosse player. I listen and consider myself very coachable, you don’t have to tell me twice. I always strive to do my best, and here to become the best lacrosse player that I can be.
I stay active, challenging myself both physically and academically. Growing up I played soccer, and I soon discovered my love for running, which led me to cross country and track. I make it a priority to go to the gym regularly, becoming a stronger player on the field. I am a responsible leader and very easy to get along with. I am resilient, and I am motivated in school as much as I am in lacrosse. I have learned how to manage my time wisely, balancing school and sports. I love to set goals and enjoy challenges. I have taken Honors and AP classes since middle school, have been inducted into Beta Club with community service hours, and was in a Mandarin Chinese Immersion program for 3 years. An additional challenge for me was taking glider flying lessons in Inverness, FL.
I am looking for a college that offers both a strong science program and a competitive lacrosse program. I am considering colleges outside of my home state. I intend on going to medical or dental school one day, while staying active playing lacrosse. Ultimately, I do hope to be a positive role model for others to look up to, as well as make my family proud, using the talents and gifts God has given me.
