I have been a two sport varsity player in lacrosse and soccer starting as a freshman. My true passion is playing lacrosse at the collegiate level. I am eager to learn from my coaches and teammates and believe I am very coachable because of my desire to strengthen my skills. I have been awarded the captain of the varsity soccer team going into my junior year because my coach and teammates see how dedicated I am to my team despite being unable to play due to an ACL injury I sustained in last year‘s lacrosse season. My ability to persevere after nine months of pos-op rehabilitation has allowed me to shine. After my first week returning to lacrosse, my club coach pulled me aside to tell me that he has never seen an athlete come back "stronger and more driven after that type of injury". I desire to be on a team with common goals to enhance my college experience and grow as a person. I also aspire to excel in academics because this also helps round out my athletics and creates a balance between mind and body.
