I love this sport! I preform the best when the people around me support me and will give my coaches and teammates 110%. I have played lacrosse since I was 5 years old changing positions from defense to goalie to attack and back to goalie when the high school team needed me. I am always willing to play whatever position will best help my team, but I've fallen in love with the goalie position. I am very good at communicating with my defense from guiding them where they need to be set up on the field to letting them know where the ball is. I can be loud and am very passionate about each play. With the constant changing of positions, I have lots of room to improve with and I am capable of that improvement with the right coaching. In the off season, I practice with my high school boys team and their goalie coaches. The boys team has welcomed as one of their own and never take it easy on me for being a 'girl', which I love! BRING IT!
I know my GPA is not quite where coaches would want to see it and I'm not making excuses, but I do want to explain. I was born with a rare medical condition that effected my cognitive development, but I am very capable of learning. I just learn differently then most other students. Accommodations have been put in place to help me get my grades up. This condition in combination with the pandemic which meant online learning, made my first 1.5 hrs of high school very challenging. I am dedicated to getting my grades up and I have a great support system in place. I will succeed.
When I am determined to do something, I get it done, no matter what that something is!
