Madisen Nichols '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Madisen Nichols I am a high school senior at Poway High and a varsity athlete at the San Diego Rowing Club. I am currently in my first rowing season and loving every minute. I know that I started late and to be honest I wish I found rowing way earlier. When I first started the rowing camps during summer I was told I should join the team but I was also in flag football and track at the time. I have been a varsity track athlete since my freshman year and also got the opportunity to be on the very first flag football team at my school. I never thought I would join Rowing but there I was 2 weeks later signing the registration forms after telling my other coaches that I was doing rowing instead of football and track. I'm determined to be on a rowing team whether I'm recruited or trying to walk onto a team, I even had to change my whole college list to look for schools with rowing teams. I am looking forward to finishing this season and continuing my rowing journey in college.
