Hi! I am Kathryn Borthwick, a current senior at Manhattan High School. I currently row for Manhattan Junior Crew on our competition team as Team Captain. I fell in love with rowing during the fall season of 2020 & have not looked back since then. I love my team & rowing greatly. As a high school student, I still am unsure of what I want to pursue in college academics. Regardless, I push myself in my academics in order to prepare myself for all college has to offer. I do know I want to compete as a rower at the collegiate level. I think I would make a good collegiate rower because I'm a hard worker & I am determined. I love to push myself both in & out of the boat. With my perseverance, I have lost over 40 lbs & am stronger than ever. I lift weights four times a week & continually push myself in that way as well. Even though I am only 5'7", I believe I can still do great things in rowing for a collegiate team as I continue to push myself to new limits.
