Hi! My name is Madeleine Cole, but most people just call me Maddie. While I played volleyball all through high school at both the varsity and top club level (as my school does not have a rowing program), I have some experience sculling out of Cambridge Boat Club and my dad was a heavyweight at UPenn under Coach Stan Bergman and my mom rowed for her college at Oxford, as well as at UChicago, so rowing has always been a large part of my life. Off the water, I lift with a trainer after school and also erg consistently.
I pride myself in my strong work ethic and coachablity, as well as a willingness to work hard not just for myself, but also for my teammates and the program I will represent. I am reliable both on and off the water, whether that comes in academic or athletic situations, I am someone who you can depend upon.
