I first started rowing in 7th grade when my parents signed me up for a rowing camp at our local club. When I row, my mind is set on getting the strongest stroke, along with working together with the rest of the boat. I strive for our boat to have one catch, one finish, and one mindset. I attend Buffalo Seminary, which is an independent private, day and boarding school for college-bound girls. In class, I have the same dedication. I love this sport and the things it has taught me about teamwork. My coaches are both extremely intelligent and do as much as possible to help each girl on the team the best rower they can be. I row bow in a Novice 4. This boat came 6th in States held in Saratoga Springs, NY and 1st in the Mercyhurst Prep Regatta in Erie, PA. In September of 2018, I was diagnosed with epilepsy, which put me on hold for rowing. I tried participating in the winter training, but since it was early in the diagnosis, my doctor told me to take a year off from rowing. When I started up again, the phrase " Slaking around" was not in my vocabulary.
