Sofia Henningsen '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Sofia Henningsen! I started rowing my freshman year and fell in love with it. In my junior year, I transitioned to coxswain because I noticed there was a need for coxswains on my team and I knew my skills would be better suited for the cox seat. 

I possess the necessary confidence and leadership abilities that allow me to command the boat on the water and on land. Whether that means making tech calls, hard decisions, or just calling the boat off the rack. I am more than willing to assert myself to speak up for my own needs and the needs of my teammates. I have a passion and dedication for coxing like no other and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make sure my boat and team are the best they can be.
