Personal Statement
Hi my name is Ava Hoefert! I am a junior located in Dallas Texas, open to attending college anywhere that is a good fit for my academics and rowing career. I value team culture, hard work, and the ability to have fun on a team. Rowing for me has been an incredible experience over the last 3 years. It has taught me how to be confident in not only my physical capabilities but my mental strength as well while surrounding myself with like-minded individuals. Outside of rowing I currently participate in different extracurriculars such as JROTC, Debate, Science NHS, Model UN, Academic Decathlon, Red Cross Blood Ambassador, and National Charity League. As a leader on my rowing team and extracurriculars, it is important for me to promote positivity and motivation to those around me. I value servant leadership and believe it is the way to uplift those I am working with to reach a common goal.
