Ryley Chinn-Vigneau '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi Coaches! As a dedicated student-athlete from Edmonton, Alberta, I have always embraced both the challenges of academic excellence and the relentless pursuit of growth on the soccer field. My name is Ryley Chinn-Vigneau, and I am a senior at St. Francis Xavier High School, graduating in 2025. I currently play for St. Albert Impact U19 Tier 1 and attend the St. FX High Performance Soccer Academy, where I have developed as both an athlete and a leader.

On the field, I am an outside back/full back with the versatility to contribute from both the left and right sides of the pitch. I pride myself on my physical ability, vision to find teammates, and patience under pressure, which helps me make the right decisions during matches. My experience with the St. Albert Impact U19 Tier 1 showcase team has tested my resilience and adaptability, and I look forward to continuing to compete at the highest level while refining my skills.

I believe I stand out from other recruits because, along with playing soccer at the highest levels, I maintain a part-time job and contribute to my family. Growing up surrounded by sport performance coaches and professional athletes has given me a firsthand understanding of the dedication and work ethic required to achieve my goals. This unique way of growing up has taught and showed me the discipline and mindset necessary to balance my athletic and personal responsibilities while staying focused on my aspirations.

In addition to my athletic accomplishments, I have earned academic honors in my Grade 9, 10 and Grade 11 years, which reflect my commitment to excelling in the classroom. I am particularly interested in studying psychology.

As I look to the future, I hope to become a player who is looked up to. I am excited about the opportunity to continue growing as a student-athlete at the collegiate level. I am eager to bring my determination, work ethic, and passion for the game to a university where I can make meaningful contributions both on the field and in the classroom.
