Vanessa Lopez '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Vanessa Lopez! I am currently a junior at Orcutt Academy High School and I play for Central Coast United Soccer Club in San Luis Obispo, California as a center back. I got into soccer at a young age while watching my brother play. Soon after that, I started playing and instantly fell in love with the game. Soccer brings me happiness, the thrill of the competition, and long lasting friendships. I want to continue playing the sport I love for as long as I can, so for college soccer I'm looking for a team with good character and morals, competitiveness that strives to do their best, and a welcoming environment. I've learned that having a strong work ethic and positive attitude are some of the most important aspects of a soccer player.

Academically, I'm looking for a school that offers me the opportunity to study biology and will help prepare me for physician assistant school. As a student athlete I take pride in having strong grades by maintaining a 4.0 GPA and playing quality soccer by being quick on my feet, reading my opponents, using my speed, and having a strong work ethic. I value having a positive mindset which is important on and off the field. I am a determined player who leaves it all out on the field because I love the game of soccer.
