My parents have played one of the most influencing roles in my life and soccer career. They have always motivated me to do my best both on and off the soccer field. My academics are very important to me and I strive to be the best student athlete I can be. In my first year of high school I made the Principal’s Honor Roll, received my Academic Letter and was voted Most Valuable defender for our Junior Varsity Team. Through playing soccer I have learned the importance of being a teammate, a leader and how working together as a team leads to a team’s success. Every player is important! Every player contributes!
My academy coach helped me recognize my strength as a defensive player and from that season on I knew I wanted to continue to play at the next level. I am a hard worker, fast learner and very coachable. After 6 years with the same soccer club I moved to a new club and a new coach. Switching clubs and coaches proved challenging at first. Getting to know my new teammates and proving myself to my new coach has made me a better soccer player today. I understand the commitment it will take for me to go to the next level and I know with hard work, discipline and determination I can achieve both my academic and soccer goals.
