I first started playing soccer in second grade at an after school program for kids wanting to try to play the sport. At the time, my family and I lived in the Middle East, so everyone called it "football". That fall, my football experience began.
I played on a cement basketball court with ten to twelve other Middle Eastern boys. Over time, I started to realize how much I enjoyed the sport. My family and I moved back to the United States the following year, and I decided that I wanted to join club soccer.
Since then, I have played forward for Peoria Football Club United. With PFCU I got to learn the value of hard work and the reward that it brings. My team then merged to form a new team, Central Illinois United. While on CIU, I was introduced to the position of center back. Through that experience, I gained a deeper understanding of defensive responsibilities on the field. I also played center mid for my high school team this past spring.
