To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Sarah O’Rourke and I have been playing soccer since I was 3 years old. When I turned 8 years old, I joined my first all-girls club soccer team called Force, Tinley-Frankfort Soccer Club. Throughout my years of playing with Force there has been a lot of player turnover, due to players changing club teams. My parents have always taught me to be loyal and to persevere through changes. With that being said, I have been with the Tinley Frankfort Soccer Club for 9 years. I am also currently playing for my high school team, Lincoln-Way Central. As a freshmen, I was a starter on the JV team. As a sophomore, I was on both the junior varsity and varsity team, but my season was cancelled due to the COVID-19. Presently, Spring of 2021, as a junior, I am well into my high school season on varsity.
My loyalty and dedication to my academics and soccer career are my priorities. I am self-driven and determined to be successful in both areas. I carry myself with positivity and practice good character both on and off the field. I always do my best to help lead my team in pressing situations with communication and supporting my teammates. I feel that the word team is another word for family. Family supports each other in all areas of life. It is my feeling that when you have a good support system success is inevitable.
My goal as a collegiate athlete is to find my “family”. A family that has a similar outlook as mine. I feel that it is important to surround myself with people who will continue to push me to be the better version of myself, both on the field and in the classroom. I look forward to challenges and do my best to be successful.
Always my best,
Sarah O’Rourke
