Personal Statement
I first started playing soccer at the age of four at the recreational level. From there I worked hard to push up in the ranks of traveling soccer. In seventh grade when I stepped onto our varsity soccer field for the first time, I realized that I really wanted to play at the collegiate level. After that moment I pushed myself even harder. I went to goalkeeper camps, trained more, and started to push myself harder in practices. I know that playing college soccer would be a once in a lifetime opportunity for me and could possibly change my life.
One of my strongest attributes as an athlete is that I am a natural team leader. I am a very vocal leader for both my club and high school teams. On the field I am always encouraging my team to be the best they can be. I also lead by example, I make sure to be pushing myself and give one hundred percent at every practice and game to show my team that putting in the effort pays off in the end. Also, I am a very coachable athlete, I aim to be the hardest working player on the field at every single practice and game. For the physical aspect, I have strong legs and good ball handling skills as well as being quick and light on my feet.
In the classroom I study hard to keep my GPA and grades at very high level. I make sure to push myself in school by taking higher level classes even if I would like take the easy classes. This upcoming 2018-19 school year I will be taking two AP courses as well as an Anoka Ramsey Community College course.
In the end, I want to attend a college where I can push myself on the field as well as in the classroom. I am very open to all options that get handed to me and ultimately want to find the right college that will be a good fit for me. I hope to become a role model to all of my peers and to make my family proud.
