Amelia Jessen '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Amelia Jessen. I am 16 years old. I live in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. 

I grew up playing soccer with Heat Soccer Club. I tried out for Salvo Soccer Club in 2019 and made one of the Salvo 04 premier teams. I have been playing with Salvo since then. I also play on my schools Varsity soccer team in the fall. My primary position is outside midfield/outside forward. I can play both left and right. I am comfortable taking hits and crosses with both feet. I also play attacking midfield and sometimes striker.I take corner kicks and feel very comfortable taking penalty kicks. I take advice from my coaches and apply it to the game. I work to be the best soccer player I can be.  I want to pursue this sport and it’s something I always want to be doing. I strive to be as good as of player as Megan Rapinoe or Tobin Heath.

In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a 3.6-3.7 GPA, and participate in NHS and German Club. During the spring I run the 400, 4x4, and compete in the long jump on my schools Track team.  I want to attend a college where I can both push myself on the field and in the classroom.
