Personal Statement

I started playing soccer when I was four years old and have been playing it every since.  Soccer makes me feel alive, it is an amazing sport that makes you want to get better and better.  I enjoy such a challenge, when I do something I try as hard as I can and don't give up.  I have always wanted to play college soccer because it is almost the top of the ladder, it is what my whole soccer career was preparing me for.  I especially enjoy how soccer is not just about you it's about the whole team.  I am encouraging to teammates and am always willing to listen to feedback from coaches.  I do as much as I can to get better, I practice and condition on my own and love going to the fields in the evening to work on my goal shooting.  The biggest skill I try to improve is my speed on the field, with faster touches, better anticipation, and speed off the ball.

I can talk easily to many different people and am a natural leader.  Soccer is where I use and develop these gifts. I am positive on the field and try to lead, especially by example.  I enjoy doing school and work hard at it, like my soccer playing, I spend the time to do as well as I can.  College is where I want to continue to do the things that I love. I hope you will consider me for your team.
