My name is Braeden MacKenzie, and I attend Proctor Academy in Andover New Hampshire. I am in the class of 2024 and value my academics as well as athletics. This year I will be a captain for the Girls Varsity Soccer team. I have played soccer since elementary school - and played at the varsity level since my freshmen year - mainly playing midfield and defense. I also play Seacoast United Express year-round to maintain my fitness and technique. I am a competitive three-sport varsity athlete. I have always loved soccer and put my all into it. Through all the hard work and dedication, the soccer field has remained my happy place. I enjoy the team environment and working hard. My coaches have always said my best trait is that I am coachable. I have a work ethic that makes me stand out amongst my team. I am a classic outside midfielder, I have a drive to push. I press hard, but I have a defensive mindset and am good at getting back to support the defense. I use my speed to get the ball up the wing and then provide crosses into the box. I also play outside back for my club team and can contain, and connect passes with center midfielders very well. Playing high-level soccer has always been an aspiration of mine because I like to be challenged and my work ethic will allow me to handle playing at the next level. Academically, I take rigorous courses to challenge myself in the classroom because I value my performance in all aspects of my life.
