Since I was able to walk, I have always had a soccer ball at my feet. It has been my lifelong goal to join a college soccer team; a team that feels more like a family. I am a go-getter that excels not only on the field but the classroom as well. I enjoy being a leader, and I also know when it is my time to follow. Throughout my experiences in school, when I have a dream or passion to accomplish something, I do not stop until I have. In the process of accomplishing my dream, I do not hesitate to assist others if they stumble along the way. For instance, my High School is an Early College High School and is very challenging. This indicates that I will graduate with an associates degree by completing 4 years of high school and 2 years of college within 4 years. Here I have the opportunity not only to grow but help others understand concepts and become successful as well.
I know I have and will have more failures as I reach my goal. My mindset in school and in life, as soccer has taught me, is to get back up after I have fallen...and I have physically fallen many times in training. I have found soccer to be the best life teacher. Soccer has taught me the need for balance, as I have learned to balance the work load at the early college high school I attend while training and improving my soccer skills. Soccer has also taught me the value of seeing things from different perspectives, as I have experience as both a player and a referee. Additionally, soccer has ultimately taught me to persevere, and to make the most of every opportunity set before me.
