Playing soccer at the collegiate level has been a goal of mine from a very young age. Soccer has developed me into who I am as a player and a person. I learned to be tough from a young age growing up with all boys in the neighborhood. Playing with the boys made me aggressive and determined enough to tackle the obligation of the keeper. Being a Keeper I’ve learned to be fearless because hesitation leads to failure therefore hesitation isn’t an option. Soccer is a very physical game, but it’s just as much a mental competition. My mind set is exactly what a keeper needs. Being able to stay focused throughout the game while getting little action and still being able to make the game winning save. The mindset I’ve developed also makes me coachable because no matter how good you are you’ll always get scored on, and if you’re getting scored on you still have work to do. Along with the combination of my fearlessness, coach ability, and mind set the determination I have will always make me better with non-stop hard work. Some of my work has payed off because my freshman year I won Section 4 Class AA all conference first team keeper and my sophmore year I won the Section 4 Class AA title.
I will continue to work hard so I can become an asset to your team and program. Thank you for your time.
