- Activities Community Service Don Bosco Youth Group — Leader September 20,2017- Present Day Food pantry volunteer (November 11,2017 -December 24 2019) Helped every Saturday at my local churches giving food and clothing to the people in need . Also helped in the Kitchen making breakfast + lunch, Religion teaching/receptionist (June 2016 -June 2019 ) during the summer from June -August , I was working with my parish to help register kids for religion classes , Summer Camp Counselor -(July 2018-August 2018) Volunteered at a local kindergarten school , my role was to supervise and play with the little kids , After school counselor ( October 2018-November 2019) Helped supervise ages 8-15 years old after school , helped with homework and played with them (sports and board games ), Retreats ( June 2018-November 2019 ) Held retreats for my parish , teaching religion to adults and children, Midnight Run ( November 2018 -December 2019) Went to NYC to hand clothing and blankets to the homeless people in need during the winter and summer , AFYA Foundation (June 2018-June 2019) Community-oriented to help address the critical shortage of medical supplies in underserved communities around the world. Supports global health. The shipments are a range of items from ultrasound machines and operating tables to soccer balls and pens. A wide range of vital supplies .The two countries I helped make packages for are Africa and Haiti., Soul Ryeders (November 5-November 20 2019 ) Soul Ryeders is an organization that aims to bring confidence and dignity to individuals who are battling through cancer . This organization makes wigs and accessories for people who are diagnosed with cancer.I helped pack wigs and handmade blankets . , Lead 4 Change (June 20-September 1 2019 ) Student Leadership Program -A Leadership Curriculum with a Community Service Framework during in class or club time. Our main goal was to create a garden to feed our community., The Experiment Digital: STEAM Discover Lab Program (February 8 to March 21 2021 ) The Experiment Digital STEAM Discovery Lab will formulate and implement STEAM-based service projects in their local communities, and come away from the program with: Steam ( Science, technology, engineering, arts and math ), The Experiment Digital :Youth Leadership and Community Service Program ( June - August 2021) The Experiment Digital Youth Leadership & Community Service prepares students to be more civically engaged and lead change ,to formulate and implement service projects in their local communities., Projects : Achieve to Feed - June 2018-June 2019 Our group called “PC Hunger Fighters” is composed of 6 student-athletes from Port Chester High School. Our primary focus is to ‘fight hunger’ in our community through the Port Chester Community Gardens , One World, Lead 4 Change and local food pantries. We build vertical gardens to help produce vegetables and fruits . After this amazing experience during the summer our organization got recognition from lead 4 Change and we received $10,000 to help the “PC Hunger Fighters” with our next project which is to have a free farmers market for Port Chester residents,. Missionary Trip to Nicaragua- April 2021 This trip to Nicaragua is to do community service with my parish . We will travel to this organization called ‘Mami Margarita’ which we will spend a week and a half there. During our time there our goal is to start building a school for the community and also a home for this family that my parish is sponsoring for . Building a school and home during our time there is an amazing experience I’m glad to be a part of . I will also be teaching English to the students and residents .
