Hello, my name is AJ Turner and my goal is to play collegiate soccer as well as get a degree in sports management. I strive to have soccer in my future whether it is playing or coaching. When I am not at school or playing soccer, I love watching The Premier League, The Champions League or whatever soccer match is on. As a goalkeeper I love watching and learning from Courtois at Real Madrid or Ter Stegen at Barcelona.
I have played soccer since I was 3 and have loved it since the first day. I have played for Tulsa Soccer Club since I was 6 years old which has bred loyalty and dedication. I have recently made the difficult decision to change clubs to West Side Alliance. I chose a coach that was focused on developing me rather than the badge on my chest. Through soccer, I have learned how to compete and manage my time. I have learned that hard work and effort can get you anywhere you want in life. I am very academically focused but I have learned how to balance school and soccer while taking honors classes.
My goal is to play at an academically strong college and earn a degree that will enable soccer to be a part of my life as a career. I feel like the key to being successful in soccer is to consistently work hard and learn from your mistakes. I would love the opportunity to work hard for you as a player and a teammate.
