I have been playing soccer since my shin guards covered my entire leg and my jersey looked more like a dress than a uniform. I’ve loved the game ever since – the thrill of my first goal, the roar of the crowd, the pushing of limits and boundaries. I continue to enjoy every minute playing today – on much bigger fields against much more formidable opponents.
I am a determined, resilient, coachable and competitive student athlete – both on and off the field. I love learning, and in school, I strive for and maintain a high GPA. My favorite subjects are Science and English, and I love spaces where I get to combine the two. I have consistently achieved distinguished honors every semester since middle school, and I have been inducted into the National Honor Society. From an athletic standpoint, I am committed to fitness and my overall well-being. I play soccer for my high school, Central Bucks East, seeded top 6 in PA State High School Playoff for the last 3 years, and for my club teams (dual rostered), LVU RUSH 06 ECNL, and WARRINGTON FC UNITED USYS PRO U19, ranked 4th in PA. I pride myself in my footwork with my primary foot being my right, but have an equally strong left foot. I have a unique ability to view the entire field and am a reliable playmaker. I love taking a shot, but even more, I love setting up the perfect ball for my teammates. I love being part of a team. I love our camaraderie and the fun we have, even in the toughest games or practices. I love being challenged by them and learning from them. I thrive on working with coaches who provide feedback and mentor me to be my best in soccer and more importantly in life.
Soccer has taught me so many lessons about myself and about life. Most importantly, it has shown me that I can do whatever I set my mind to, even if it is not easy. It has also taught me about the impact – and fun – a group of people can have working toward a similar goal. When I look toward college, I hope to continue these learnings on an even bigger scale. I want to attend a college where I can flourish in the classroom and take my learnings to make a positive impact on the world. I want to continue my soccer career to compete at the collegiate level at a school of high academic standing. Above all, I want to be part of a school and a team that cares for the entire student athlete – mind, body and spirit – and offers the possibility of a rich, challenging, rewarding and fun college experience.
