Personal Statement
Hello Coaches! My name is Paelyn Bayer. I have been playing soccer( recreational, club, and HS varsity) since I was 5 years old. I have always had a passion for soccer over any other sport that I have ever played. I would love to play soccer in college because it gives me an opportunity for my hard work to pay off, but more importantly I can contribute to a team through my ability to be a good team player and also by inspiring others to always give it their all in practice and in games. I also believe that winning is great, but losing is a time to learn what you did wrong and improve on it for next time. I will always try to win and will definitely leave it all out on the field and try to be the best that I can be - both on and off the field.
My career goal is to pursue a degree in Sports Medicine. While I know this would be a demanding major, I have a strong track record of maintaining success in both academics and athletics. I have a 4.0 GPA and have never gotten a single B. Currently, I am on the High School Track team, play club soccer, work at a local retail shop, work at a local ice cream shop and and am a certified soccer referee, picking up games on the weekends when I can. Through all of this, I have continued to be maintain a 4.0 GPA (with 2 honors glasses). This goes to show that I know how to juggle many things at once, through hard work and dedication.
With all this being said, I feel that I would be a good asset to your soccer program as well as to your college/university.
