Hello, my name is Mia Beardsley. I am currently in my sophomore year of high school and going to graduate in 2025. I started playing soccer at four years old and automatically found a love for it. I have been playing for my club team, Century United, for around 8 years and continue my work on and off the field. I have participated in high school soccer for 2 years now, earning a spot on varsity for both years, and plan to play the rest of high school. I enjoy many after-school activities like Spanish club, Mini-thon, LIGHT club, Math league, and Science club. I participate and reside on the executive board for Global Minds. I am encouraged by my friends and my parents to challenge myself, especially when it comes to school, so I try my best. I am enrolled in 3 honors classes, 1 AP, and have a GPA of 4.31. I've enjoyed playing soccer my entire life and find it a big part of who I am and who I've learned to be. I've not only learned the correct sportsmanship, but also how to make friends, achieve my goals, and have a better mentality. Soccer has been the center of my life for so long. Lessons I learn while playing or practicing, I take outside the field and vice versa. After many years of playing soccer, I am able to connect even the lessons I learn in school to then the soccer field and hopefully better my game.
