Soccer has always been a big part of my life growing up. It gave me lots of my friends today and has taught me so many life lessons. If you ask anyone I play soccer with they would say I am one of the hardest workers on the field . As a freshman I started off the season on junior varsity. Like most people I was not the most thrilled because I knew I could do better. So every practice I tried to outwork everyone so that I could play varsity soccer and work to be the best player on my team. By the end of my freshman high school soccer season I was starting varsity every game. From my experience of playing JV as a freshman it really helped shape my character and helped me become a stronger person. It taught me that not all athletes are gonna start the season the way they end the season. And that in order to reach goals you have to envision greatness, work hard, and have a growth mindset. Although I might not be at the top of my class academically, that doesn’t mean I settle for anything less than my best. I’m the type of student athlete that has grit and motivation. This allows me to not let anything keep me from achieving my goals.
I wanna play college soccer because I love the sport and all it has brought to my life. And I wanna continue to challenge myself physically, mentally, and academically.
