I first started playing soccer when I was five years old through my church's youth program. This experience sparked my passion for the sport and ignited my desire to play at the collegiate level.
Over the past 11 years, I have dedicated myself to improving my skills and deepening my understanding of the game. My coaches describe me as a fierce competitor who is coachable and possesses a level of mental toughness that is rare. I am a team leader and try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I strive to be one of the hardest working players with a belief that hard work, determination, hustle, focus and celebrating team members successes is what helps a team achieve its goal.
For the past seven years I have played for the Challenge Soccer organization where I am currently an outside defender for Challenge 08 USC TX RL team. Under the guidance of Coach Lindsay Vera, I have had the privilege of developing my skills while competing at a high level. Because of my competitive nature and energy, I bring to the team, Coach Vera positioned me as a forward to help spark our offense and push our original frontline to work harder. My first time at forward I scored the only goal leading my team to a victory!
At the high school level, I have been a starter on the Bryan High varsity team since my freshman year, playing as a defensive midfielder. My coach recognized my work ethics and leadership qualities, selecting me as one of the team captains my sophomore year. I also earned All District Honorable Mention during both my Freshman and Sophomore years.
Academically, I am committed to excellence as well, maintaining a 4.0 GPA while taking IB English, IB Math, and IB Theater. Inducted into the National Honor Society and currently in the top 10 % of my class. My passion is to help others and want to attend a college where I can pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training.
I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to all my peers and make my parents proud.
