Zaara Jacobs '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello, I'm Zaara Jacobs, a center midfielder in the 2024 graduating class. My biggest goal is to be able to receive an education focused on medicine while also having the opportunity to pursue my passion for soccer. I've never been one to back down from a challenge, and I think my diligence and perseverance set me apart from the competition. In addition, I devote time to coaching and training children as a part of the Player2Player program, which allows high school students to instruct and train younger children in soccer and other sports. I think it's important to use my skills and knowledge to support younger athletes in achieving their objectives. While I am very committed to soccer and athletics, which have always been very important to me, academics come first. I put in my best effort to achieve the highest grades while also aiming to further immerse myself in my studies. I am a junior taking a variety of AP and advanced classes, maintaining straight As, and serving as my student class's vice president for the past three years. Even though being a student athlete can be challenging at times, I think I manage my time and energy well enough to fit both in. I'd like to attend a university with a strong academic reputation while still being able to participate in the sport I enjoy. My ideal athletic environment would be one in which I could push myself every day while also contributing to the team's success. I would also be willing to travel far and out of state because I am very flexible in terms of school location. Ideally, I would like to attend a school that is welcoming and has a strong academic program where I can achieve my goals both on and off the field.
