Before I decided to pursue wrestling in high school, I played tackle football on the middle school boys' team. I soon realized that it would not be wise to play since I lacked size. Joining wrestling turned out to be so much more than a "second choice" sport. It engulfed me and I fell in love with it, while the team turned into my life and second family. It shaped the way I approach everything in life, from school work to friendships, even how I view my art. Wrestling taught me to be mentally tough and approach everything in life with all of my effort, no matter how small the task was. It has made me into a better person and continues to teach me valuable lessons every day. Now going on my 4th and final year in high school, I wish to continue my passion for the sport through college. I am an aspiring Surgeon and I take pride in my academics as well as athletics. I am looking for a school where I can pursue my academic needs as well as become part of a new wrestling family.
