Personal Statement
When I was little I remember watching soccer and wanting to grow up to be like those girls. When I was 6 years old I started playing soccer and I loved it. I've learned that I can't get any better if I don't work hard. In school, in soccer, if I want to achieve my dreams I have to work hard. Soccer has taught me that and has pushed me to become a better person and better player. When it comes to soccer I'm very teachable and apply what I learn in practice and on the field. I want to complete high school with straight As and aim for that 4.0 GPA. After I graduate high school I want to go to college and play soccer as well as start my education to become a physical therapist. Sophomore year of high school I found out I had a meniscus and ACL tear and had to get surgery because of it. It was hard to go to practices and tournaments and watch my team play without me but it taught me to appreciate soccer more. The road to recovery was a long and difficult one but it taught me patience and determination. While doing physical therapy I saw others recovering as well and I knew I wanted to help other people and athletes like me. I want to help others like my physical therapist helped me.
